Landmark Conference Announces Fall Academic Honor Roll
Forty-nine Susquehanna student-athletes were placed on the 2011 Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, released on Thursday. Six teams were represented: men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.

Freezing temps, wind and snow did not provide ideal conditions for the Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships but the Susquehanna men’s team put together an impressive performance nonetheless. Cross Country Competes in Final Conference Tune-Up Meet
Saturday’s Gettysburg Invitational marked the final meet before the Susquehanna men’s and women’s cross country teams compete at the Landmark Conference championships on Oct. 29. The men’s team finished seventh while the women came in 13th with both teams battling muddy course conditions and gusty winds.

The Susquehanna men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational on Saturday as the men competed in the 4k and 8k races while the women raced a 4k. In a meet in which only the top three runners scored for their teams, as opposed to the normal top five, both squads had solid performances.

Thirty-two Susquehanna student-athletes have received Scholar-Athlete Awards for recording the highest grade-point averages (GPA) on their respective teams during the 2010 fall semester. The award is part of the Student-Athlete Affairs program (SAA), sponsored by the NCAA.

Second-Annual Mr. SU a Success
Susquehanna’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted its second-annual Mr. SU Contest on March 22 and the event was a rousing success, as SAAC raised $500 for the Special Olympics, the Landmark Conference’s charity of choice.
