Kroupa Adds Clifford to Softball Coaching Staff

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna head softball coach Kathy Kroupa announced the hiring of assistant coach Cat Clifford.

Clifford joins Kroupa's staff following a four-year career as the starting third baseman at Division I Mount St. Mary's University. She was an All-Northeast Conference Second-Team selection in 2013 and ranks in the top-10 at Mount St. Mary's in career at-bats, games played, home runs and total bases. She graduated in May of 2014 with a degree in secondary social studies.

In addition to her playing experience, Clifford has coached at several Mount St. Mary's softball camps and clinics and served as a volunteer assistant for physical education classes in her hometown of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.

The SU softball team finished the 2014 season with an overall record of 23-16, including a perfect 12-0 record in Landmark Conference play. The Crusaders became the first team since Moravian in 2008 to achieve a perfect conference record.
