The Week Ahead in SU Sports

Week of: Feb. 11-17

Women’s Basketball: The Crusaders (7-16, 2-10) host Juniata (16-7, 7-5) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Live stats can be found here and video can be accessed here. SU will be celebrating Play4Kay Night in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.

SU then hosts USMMA (10-12, 2-10) on Saturday at 2 p.m. Live stats can be found here, audio here and video here. Four members of the team will be honored in a pre-game ceremony for Senior Day. In addition, the Crusaders will be serving as hosts for 120 local Girl Scouts.

Last week, SU played at No. 13 Catholic and Moravian. Senior Shannon Grunwald (Neshanic Station, N.J. / Somerville) averaged 13.0 ppg over those contests.

Men’s Basketball: SU (9-14, 5-7) heads to Juniata (15-8, 7-5) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Live stats can be found here and audio here.

The Crusaders host USMMA (12-11, 5-7) on Saturday at 4 p.m. Live stats can be found here, audio here and video here. The five senior members of the team will be honored in a pre-game ceremony for Senior Day.

Last week, Susquehanna played No. 8 Catholic and at Moravian. Junior Harley Sellinger (Mill Hall, Pa. / Central Mountain) averaged 8.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg during those games.

Track & Field: The Crusaders host the SU Open on Friday at 4 p.m. This is the final tune-up before hosting the 2013 Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, Feb. 23.

Last Saturday at the SU Invitational, freshman Ashley West (East Hampton, N.Y. / East Hampton) broke her own school record in the 800m with a time of 2:19.07.
