    Senior forward Courtney Adams has been named to the Landmark Conference All-Conference team for the second consecutive season as announced by the conference office this week.

    It took the full four years but senior Courtney Adams became the 12th player in Susquehanna University Women’s Basketball history to score 1000 points on the final shot of her career. The River Hawks fell to Elizabethtown College by a score of 81-56 in the season finale but none of that seemed to matter as she closed in on the milestone in the fourth quarter Saturday afternoon in OW Houts Gymnasium in Selinsgrove.

    Courtney Adams and Erin McQuillen each scored in double figures but it was not enough as the Susquehanna University Women’s Basketball Team fell to Scranton, 64-47 Wednesday night in a Landmark Conference game at the John Long Center in Scranton.

Houts Gymnasium in Selinsgrove.

Houts Gymnasium in Selinsgrove.

    The Susquehanna University Women’s Basketball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Landmark Conference standings according to the preseason poll released Tuesday by the conference office. The poll was conducted with votes from all of the women’s basketball head coaches in the conference.
