SU Women Take Home Eighth
Results
ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – After a cold and damp two days at the
McDaniel Spring Golf Invite, Susquehanna women’s team placed
eighth overall out of the 13 squads at the event.
The Crusaders shot an impressive 393 on day one at the par 72
course and followed that by shooting 405 on Sunday for a combined
score of 798 (+222).
Freshman Lindsay Kass (Chester, N.J./West Morris
Mendham) was SU’s top finisher, shooting a combined
191 (87, 104) to place 31st overall, with her day-one
score of 87 the team’s best round of the weekend. Just behind
her in a tie for 32nd was Lauren
Fitzgerald (Randolph, N.J./Randolph), who shot a
193 (87, 96).
Maura Handte (Boalsburg, Pa./State College)
shot a 204 (101, 103) and Alexandria Taylor (Morris Plains,
N.J./Morristown) finished with at 214 after cutting 10
strokes off her score in day two (112, 102). Annie Albert
(Ruxton, Md./Saint Paul’s School for Girls) rounded
out the weekend by shooting a 217 (108, 109).
The Crusaders return to action on April 5 at the Gettysburg Spring
Invitational.
