March 14: Susquehanna 18, Neumann 6

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Freshman midfielder Ally Bauer (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) scored a game- and career-high five goals to help lead Susquehanna University to a dominating 18-6 win over visiting Neumann College in a non-conference game at Sassafras Fields on March 14.

Eight other Susquehanna (3-1 overall) players contributed with goals, while four players combined to score Neumann’s (0-4 overall) six goals.

Bauer also scooped up one ground ball and won a draw control. Sophomore midfielder Sarah Wright (Princeton, N.J./Princeton HS) had a strong all-around game by scoring three goals and adding two assists, five draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Sophomore midfielders Sara Franckowiak (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) and Kirsten Detwiler (Montchanin, Del./Wilmington Friends) and freshman midfielder Erin Dyer (West Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) scored two goals apiece. Franckowiak added an assist, four draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Scoring one goal each were sophomore midfielders D.J. Jacobs (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) and Corinne Woodward (Shrewsbury, N.J./Red Bank Regional), senior midfielder Cindy Wilson (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) and freshman midfielder Caroline Sisson (Baltimore, Md./McDonogh). Jacobs added an assist, one draw control, one caused turnover and a game-high five ground balls.

Senior midfielder Katelyn Deese (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) picked up four ground balls, caused two turnovers and added an assist for the Crusaders.

Senior Meredith Tompeck (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) and freshman Pamela Keilig (Hopkinton, N.H./Hopkinton) both played exactly one half in goal. Tompeck made two stops in the first 30 minutes to earn the win, while Keilig stopped five shots in the second.
