Women’s Lacrosse Picked Fifth in Preseason Conference Poll

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna’s women’s lacrosse team was selected to finish fifth in the Landmark Conference Preseason Poll, released on Tuesday. Catholic was picked to finish first followed by Drew, Scranton and Goucher.

SU posted a 7-8 campaign in 2011 and returns 17 players from last year’s roster, including All-Conference senior defender Marra Landino (Brownsville, Vt./Kimball Union Academy). 

Four of the top five scorers from 2011 are back, including Michelle McGinniss (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) and Erin Dyer (West Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell), who combined for 81 goals.

Susquehanna opens the season on Feb. 28 with a 4 p.m. home game against Dickinson and the first Landmark contest for the Crusaders is on Thursday, Apr. 5 at Scranton.
