SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna's women's lacrosse head coach Laura Moan and her assistant Katie Zichelli have been named as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Coaching Staff of the Year, released Friday.
Moan led the Crusaders (15-1, 3-1) to a second-place finish in the regular season and the number two seed in the conference playoffs with a program-best 15-1 record.
SU defeated Drew 18-5 on Wednesday afternoon in the semifinals to advance to the team's first-ever title game and travel to Catholic to avenge their only loss of the season, a 13-9 decision on April 14.
The Crusaders were picked to finish fifth in the conference pre-season poll but began the 2012 season by rattling off 11 consecutive victories. SU also received its first-ever ILWCA votes and has been nationally ranked, as well.
In addition to being named Coaching Staff of the Year, five players have been named All-Landmark performers.
