Week Of: April 8-14

Women’s Lacrosse: The No. 12 Crusaders (10-0, 1-0) play at Elizabethtown (6-3) on Monday at 4 p.m. Live stats can be found here. SU hosts Scranton (6-3, 1-1) on Saturday at 1 p.m. Live stats can be found here. Five players will be honored in a pre-game ceremony for Senior Day.

Softball: SU (17-5, 3-1) hosts Lycoming (10-10) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Live stats can be found here. The game marks the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game between the two schools. 

On Thursday, the Crusaders play at Wilkes (9-13) at 3 p.m. Live stats can be found here.

On Saturday, the Crusaders host Juniata (7-9, 3-3) at 1 p.m. Four players will be honored in a pre-game ceremony for Senior Day.

This past week, SU went 3-1 including a split with No. 20 Moravian on Sunday. In the first game against the Greyhounds, the Crusaders crushed three home runs.

Baseball: SU (11-15, 5-4) travels to Lebanon Valley (8-16) on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Live stats can be found here. The Crusaders host Drew (8-15, 2-7) for a weekend series starting Saturday at 1 p.m. 

This past weekend, SU went 1-2 against Scranton. Senior Nick Ferlise (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River North) smacked a pair of homers against the Royals.

Men’s Lacrosse: The Crusaders (8-4, 3-1) travel to Scranton (7-3, 3-0) on Saturday at 1 p.m.  Live stats and video can be found here.

Last week, SU defeated Washington & Jefferson 11-8. Four different players scored two goals apiece for the Crusaders.

Tennis: The men (4-9, 1-3) host Juniata (10-4, 2-1) on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. The women (10-2, 1-2) host the Eagles (11-4, 1-2) on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. 

Both squads travel to Scranton (Men: 1-4, 0-1 Women: 3-5, 1-1) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.  

This past weekend the fell 8-1 to both Moravian and Catholic while the women lost both its matches to the Greyhounds and Cardinals.

Golf: The men finish up competition in the Hershey Cup on Monday. The Crusaders will be competing in the Glenmaura Invitational from April 14-15.

Track & Field: The Crusaders compete at Bucknell on Saturday and Sunday with Saturday’s action at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.

Sophomore Jared Minori (Tyrone, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis) won first place in the javelin in the Jim Taylor Invitational with a personal-best throw of 216-00 (65.48m). As of April 7, his throw was the top throw among Division III athletes.
