SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Women’s and men’s lacrosse are represented as this week’s Pepsi/SAAC Super Crusaders as senior defender Ainsley Rossitto (Rocky Hill, Conn. / Kingswood-Oxford) and senior goalkeeper Will Torrence (Wallingford, Pa. / Strath Haven) have been selected for the period ending April 21.

On Saturday, Rossitto and the SU defense forced 31 Catholic turnovers with Rossitto leading the way for the Crusaders with five caused turnovers.

She also had a game-high seven ground balls in the program’s first-ever victory over the Cardinals (W, 15-10). The win earned SU (13-0, 3-0) the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference tournament.

Rossitto has started all 13 games this season and has 14 caused turnovers, 29 ground balls, one goal and one assist for a team that is currently ranked No. 11 among all Division III teams.

Rossitto and the Crusaders play at Marywood on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to Goucher on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Torrence helped the men’s squad to its first-ever victory against Catholic on Saturday (W, 7-4). The senior allowed only four goals and recorded 11 saves between the pipes as SU clinched the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament and remained undefeated at home this season (7-0).

This year, Torrence has started 11 of the 13 contests in which he has played and has a 7.84 GAA with a .560 save percentage with 115 saves.

Torrence and SU (10-5, 4-2) host Albright on Saturday at 1 p.m. Torrence and six teammates will be honored in a pregame ceremony for Senior Day.
