McElaney Receives Landmark Conference Honor

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna senior women's lacrosse player Annie McElaney has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week.

McElaney led all scorers with six goals in SU's 15-13 win at Landmark opponent Drew. Her second goal against the Rangers marked the 100th of her career. McElaney now has 104 career goals, just two shy of breaking into the top 10 in program history.

She also added two assists, four ground balls and two caused turnovers in Saturday's win over Drew.

This season, McElaney leads the Crusaders in goals (16), assists (8) and points (24). She has 35 shots (28 on goal), 14 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and five draw controls. SU is 3-3 overall with a 1-0 record in conference games.

The team returns home to host Randolph-Macon on March 30 at 4 p.m.
