TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna senior women's lacrosse player Annie McElaney has been named Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week.
McElaney started both games last week as SU went 2-0. She had four goals and three assists in an 18-5 win against Marywood and added four goals and one assist in a 14-9 win over USMMA. She went 4-8 of free-position shots, had three ground balls, six draw controls and 21 shots (17 on goal).
This season, McElaney has started all 16 games and leads the team in goals (59) and points (76). She also has 17 assists, second-best on the team. She has two game-winning goals, one man-up goal, four man-down goals, 30 draw controls and 12 caused turnovers to her credit.
SU is 8-8 overall with a 4-2 mark in Landmark Conference action. The team clinched the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament with Saturday's win and will host No. 3 Scranton in a Landmark Conference semifinal on Wednesday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m.
