Susquehanna Blanks Drew on Senior Day, 4-0

Boxscore

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's junior midfielder Rebecca Entwistle (Wall Twp., N.J./Wall) tallied two goals on Senior Day to give Susquehanna a 4-0 win over visiting Drew University in a Landmark Conference field hockey game at Sassafras Fields on Oct. 31.

Entwistle scored in the 31st and 40th minutes.

Susquehanna (9-8, 4-2 Landmark) scored the game's first goal in the 20th minute, as sophomore forward Heather Moore (Columbus, N.J./Peddie) notched her fourth goal of the season off a centering pass from senior forward Andrea Fiori (West Trenton, N.J./Lawrenceville)

Fiori scored her team-leading 10th goal of the season in the 34th minute off an assist from freshman midfielder Ally Bradley (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South). Bradley also assisted on Entwistle's second goal to give her a team-best seven helpers this season.

Drew (12-7, 2-4 Landmark) outshot SU, 17-15, and registered more penalty corners, 15-7, but a strong Crusaders defense kept the Rangers off the scoreboard.

Crusaders sophomore Erin Ferguson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Seneca) stopped a game-high nine shots on the day for her second shutout this season.

SU junior back Julia Amendola (Mountain Top, Pa./Bishop Hoban) made her team-high fifth defensive save in the win.

Next Game: Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Catholic (Landmark Conference semifinals), 3 p.m.
