Susquehanna Beats Neumann, 3-1, for Fourth Straight Win
ASTON, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's junior midfielder Rebecca Entwistle (Wall Twp., N.J./Wall) notched a goal and an assist to lead Susquehanna to a 3-1 win at Neumann University in a non-conference field hockey game on Oct. 27.
Entwistle started the scoring in the 23rd minute by finishing off a pass from sophomore back Laurel Monaghan (East Fallowfield, Pa./Coatesvile Area). Monaghan leads SU (8-8 overall) with six assists this season.
The Crusaders held a 1-0 lead over Neumann (8-8 overall) through halftime. Freshman midfielder All Bradley (Jamison, Pa./Central Bucks South) then passed to sophomore forward Heather Moore (Columbus, N.J./Peddie) for the eventual game-winning goal just 59 seconds into the second half.
The Knights scored their only goal just 1 minute, 16 seconds later, but the Crusaders added an important insurance marker just 2:03 after that when senior forward Andrea Fiori (West Trenton, N.J./Lawrenceville) netted a pass from Entwistle. Fiori leads Susquehanna this year with nine goals and 19 points.
Sophomore Erin Ferguson (Mount Laurel, N.J./Seneca) made six saves to earn her eighth win this season.
Susquehanna outshot Neumann, 23-8.
