Bob Jordan '71 finished his 16th season as Susquehanna University's head women's tennis coach in 2009-10 while enjoying his third season at the helm of the men's team.

In his past eight seasons with the women's team, Jordan has coached a Middle Atlantic Conference singles champion (Tara McHugh '04 in 2002), two MAC Commonwealth Players of the Year (McHugh in 2002 and Danielle Dormer '06 in 2005), a pair of Commonwealth Rookies of the Year (McHugh in 2000 and Dormer in 2002) and 14 double-digit-win seasons from singles players (McHugh four times, Dormer three times, Julia Lerner '12 twice and Cindy Schlier '03, Sarah Lampe '05, Brittany Reiman '08, Celsy Ehrgood '12 and Cassie Zerbe '12 once each). The doubles team of Jessi Haas '10 and Julie Springer '10 was a 10-match winner during the 2007-08 season, as was the team of Haas and Allison Killeen '12 in 2009-10.

In addition, he coached two 10-match men's singles winners during the 2009-10 season (Bruce Osborn '11 and Richard Fitzsimmons '13).

Jordan is a former captain and No. 1 singles player for Susquehanna tennis. He resides in Selinsgrove, Pa.



Dr. Fred Grosse
Assistant Coach/Academic Advisor

Dr. Fred Grosse has served under Head Coach Bob Jordan for the past 17 seasons as an assistant coach.

Before that, he was Susquehanna's head men's tennis coach from 1961 to 1972. He was also the head women's coach in 1990.
