Women's Soccer Drops Season Finale to Drew


SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University’s women’s soccer team lost its 2010 season finale, 2-0, to Landmark rival Drew University on Senior Day on Oct. 30.

The Crusaders (5-12-1, 1-5-0) spotted Drew (11-6-1, 5-1-0) an early goal just four minutes into the game which was the eventual game-winner.

The Rangers added an insurance goal half way through the second half to make the game a 2-0 contest and the inevitable final tally.

SU managed to take eight shots (four on goal) but could not get one by the Drew goalkeeper. Seniors Anna Weisel (Philadelphia, Pa./Springside) and Erinn Jenkis (Blakely, Pa./Valley View) each took a team-high-tying two shots.

Freshman Rachel Norbuts (Woodstown, N.J./Woodstown) suffered the loss in all 90 minutes of action and made four saves.

This senior class enjoyed 23 wins and 24 shutouts over their four-year careers in Orange and Maroon.
