SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Football and women’s soccer are
represented as Susquehanna’s Pepsi/SAAC Super Crusaders for
the period ending Oct. 26. Junior linebacker Jim Barry
(Staten Island, N.Y./Brooklyn Poly Prep) and senior
forward Samantha Zuponcic (Mantua,
Ohio/Crestwood/Hiram) have been selected for the
Barry recorded a game-high 16 tackles, including 11 solo, in Saturday’s loss at Ursinus and leads the Centennial Conference with 90 on the season. In seven games, he has also accumulated one sack, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception.
Zuponcic helped lead the Crusaders to their first Landmark Conference victory this season by scoring both goals in a 2-0 win at Juniata on Tuesday. She has a team-leading 10 goals in 17 games this season and her 21 points are tied for fifth-best in the Landmark.
Barry and the football team return home after a two-game road stint when they host Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. Zuponcic and the women’s soccer team play their final home game on Wednesday, Oct. 29 against Lancaster Bible at 7 p.m.
