Women’s Soccer Blanks Goucher

HEADLINE: The Susquehanna women's soccer team shut out its second-straight opponent with a 3-0 win at Goucher on Oct. 1.

TEAM RECORD: SU improves to 8-2-0 overall with a 2-0-0 mark in Landmark games. The River Hawks have given up just one goal in two conference games thus far this season with a 2-1 win over Catholic on Sept. 24. The Gophers, meanwhile, are now 5-4-1 with a 1-1-0 mark in Landmark games.

FIRST HALF FRENZY:
All three of Susquehanna's goals came over an 11-minute span in the first half. Grayclynn Juckes scored what was ultimately the game winner with a goal in the 24th minute off an assist from Mairead Ruane.

Ruane then scored less than eight minutes later for a 2-0 SU lead and Chloe Eisenhuth scored an insurance goal with 11 minutes left in the first half. Alex Edelman assisted on the final two scores of the game.

TEAM STATS: The River Hawks took 25 shots to Goucher's three and put 12 of those shots on goal. SU also took five corners while holding the Gophers to just one.

INDIVIDUAL STATS: Alyssa Bolger led all players with six shots while Juckes and Emily Sullivan added four apiece.

Goalie Jordyn Slocum made just one save all afternoon in her second shutout of the fall.

Susquehanna returns to action on Oct. 5 with a 7 p.m. game at Delaware Valley.
