Lessard, Csakai Named Scholar All-Americans

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna swimmers Kelsey Lessard '16 and Danny Csakai '16 have been named Scholar All-America Honorable Mentions by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The honorable mention selections recognize student-athletes with a GPA of 3.50 or higher who achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet.

Lessard, who also earned the honor in 2014-15, achieved a "B" cut in the 200 and 400 IM as well as the 200 butterfly this season. After the women captured their sixth-straight Landmark Conference title in February, Lessard was named the Female Swimmer of the Year.

Csakai, meanwhile, earned the honor by achieving a "B" cut in the 100 breaststroke with his time of 57.51. He set that time – which also marked a personal best – at the Landmark Conference championship meet. Csakai and the men's team finished as runners-up at the conference championship meet.
