Jordan Named Landmark Conference Coach of the Year

MADISON, N.J. – On Thursday afternoon, 18th-year head coach Bob Jordan '71 experienced a first in his career by being tabbed the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Coach Staff of the Year. The recognition comes following Susquehanna's first-ever trip the conference championship match, set for this Saturday.

Jordan, who is also in his fifth season as head coach of the men's team, helped guide SU to a 10-5 overall record this spring, including 5-2 mark in league play, to grab the No. 1 overall seed in the postseason tournament. The Crusaders took down Moravian 5-4 earlier this week to advance to their first-ever Landmark Conference title match.

Over his career, Jordan has coached a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) singles championship, two MAC Commonwealth Players of the Year, a pair of Commonwealth Rookies of the Year and 14 double-digit win seasons from singles players.

Jordan is a former captain and No. 1 singles player for SU.

The Crusaders host Scranton on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Landmark Conference championship match.
