Women’s Tennis Soars to Victory

QUICK STORY: The Susquehanna women's tennis team defeated the Keystone College Giants 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

WIN AFTER DOUBLES: Due to technicalities, the River Hawks were up 5-0 at the completion of doubles. The Giants were only able to travel with four team members forcing Keystone to forfeit number three doubles as well as numbers five and six singles. As SU's numbers one (Alyssa Fleischman and Megan Rudloff) and two (Amanda Costantino and Cassey Fox) doubles won 8-1 and 8-0, respectively the match was essentially won.

 SINGLES ACTION: Rudloff won 6-2, 6-3 at number one singles and Eliza Griffin  took the number two singles match 6-1, 6-3. Julia Spear and Amy Jennings defeated their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at numbers three and four singles, respectively.

WHAT'S NEXT? The River Hawks are back at home on Wednesday, September 28 at 4:00 p.m. to complete the match against Lycoming that was postponed a week ago due to darkness.
