Women’s Track & Field Hosts Jim Taylor Invite

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's track & field team hosted the 32nd annual Jim Taylor Invitational on Saturday with impressive results all around.

On the track, Jasmine Mitchell took eighth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.98 while Manouchka Paulemont was 16th with her time of 13.29. In the 200m dash, Jadzia Erskine crossed the finish in 27.49 – a personal best – to take 19th. Close behind her in 24th was Michelle Turnbach (27.97).

Ashley West took second in the 400m run after crossing the finish in 59.14 – a career best and the third-best mark in program history – while in the 800m run, Hannah Stauffer's time of 2:25.95 earned her 10th overall and set a two-second PR.  

West went on to win the 1500m run by a six-second margin with her time of 4:42.15. Megan Wright posted a time of 5:04.16 while Amy Kaschak crossed the finish in 5:06.76.

In the 100 meter hurdles, Turnbach's career-best time of 16.66 placed her 12th.

In the throws, Gabby Alguire won the javelin with a throw of 47.42m, just shy of her personal-best mark of 47.46m.

Renea Broscious was 12th in the hammer throw with a mark of 36.67m and was 22nd in the shot put (10.07m). Cam Weaver '15 was seventh in the shot put (11.66m).

In other field events, Hayley Painter tied for 10th in the pole vault with a career-best mark of 2.45m. Sarah Rinaldi tied for 11th in the high jump with a mark of 1.45m – a PR – while Painter posted a height of 1.40m. Rinaldi took eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.19m.
