Women’s Track & Field Travels to Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's track & field team traveled to the Millersville Metric meet on Saturday.

In the track events, Jadzia Erskine's time of 13.34 in the 100m dash was for 11th place and a PR with Caryle McQueen in 21st (13.78).

Ashley West competed in her first collegiate 200m race and placed 16th (26.98). West went on to place second in the 800m run with her time of 2:14.69. Kailyn Reilly was 12th in the 800m run with a career-best time of 2:27.88 and Gabby Verruni placed 21st (2:35.83).

Megan Wright was first across the finish for the Crusaders in the 1500m run with her fifth-place time of 5:04.99. Hannah Stauffer took ninth with a time of 5:09.47 and Abby Taylor was 18th (5:22.69). In the 400m run, Hannah Perkins crossed the finish in 1:03.24 to finish 14th.

Michelle Turnbach earned 17th overall in the 100m hurdles after crossing the finish in 17.42 and in the 400m hurdles, Camilla De Araujo's time of 1:13.33 placed her 10th and marked a four-second PR.

Amy Kaschak ran to a third-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with her time of 11:51.06.

In the 4 x 800 relay, SU took second with a time of 10:46.22 behind runs from Verruni, Stauffer, Reilly and Kirsten Hatton.

In the field events, Sarah Rinaldi tied for eighth in the high jump with a height of 1.48m, a personal-best mark.

Finally, Renea Broscious was 22nd in the discus (26.81m) and 20th in the hammer (35.51m).

SU returns to action on April 16-17 at Bucknell.
