Women’s Track & Field Competes at Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's track & field team traveled to Shippenburg's Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday in the team's final meet prior to next weekend's Landmark Conference Championship.

Jadzia Erskine was first across the finish line for SU in the 100m dash with her time of 13.30 with Carlye McQueen posting a time of 13.44 – a PR. Erskine went on to run a 27.56 in the 200m dash with Hannah Perkins crossing the finish in 27.69.

Perkins was also 16th in the 400m dash with her time of 1:02.39 and in the 800m run, Hannah Stauffer's time of 2:24.60 placed her 18th.

In the 1500m run, Amy Kaschak's time of 4:56.66 earned her eighth overall while Megan Wright took 10th with a time of 4:58.25, a PR.

Abby Taylor crossed the finish of the 3000m in 11:17.79 with Emily Leboffe posting a time of 11:57.99.

SU's 4 x 800 relay team of Stauffer, Amy Kaschak, Megan Wright and Kirsten Hatton ran to a second-place finish with a school-record time of 9:59.90.

In the field events, Sarah Rinaldi tied for seventh in the high jump with a career-best height of 1.53m while Hayley Painter tied for 12th in the pole vault with her personal-best mark of 2.81m, the sixth-best mark in program history.

Manouchka Paulemont tied for 30th in the long jump with a mark of 4.67m with Rinaldi in 32nd (4.63m – a PR).  Rinaldi also took 17th in the triple jump (10.16m) with Paulemont in 19th (10.09m).

Renea Broscious posted a mark of 9.72m in the shot put and was 19th in the discus (29.74m). She also took 24th in the hammer with a throw of 33.35m.

Susquehanna competes at the Landmark Conference Championships from May 7-8 at Juniata College.
