Women's Track and Field Picked Third in Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna women's indoor track & field team has been selected to finish third in the 2016 Landmark Conference Preseason Poll.

Defending champion Moravian was picked to finish first with 50 points and five first-place votes. Elizabethtown was second with 36 points and the remaining first-place votes, followed by SU with 31 points.

Rounding out the poll was Juniata (20 points), Catholic (13) and Goucher (10).

The River Hawks were second at last year's championship meet. Sophomore Sarah Rinaldi was named the Rookie of the Year and was one of six All-Conference performers for Susquehanna. SU started off the season strong with Amy Kaschak being named Landmark Athlete of the week with her performance at the River Hawk Opener.

The River Hawks return to action on January 21 when they host the Orange & Maroon Classic.
