SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Football sophomore defensive lineman Bill Mancini (Malvern, Pa. / St. Joseph's Prep) and volleyball senior defensive specialist Kate Reese (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro Area) have been selected as the SAAC Super Crusaders for the week ending October 1.

Mancini started Saturday's game at Muhlenberg, recording six tackles (five solo), 2.5 tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, two pass breakups and two sacks. He help the SU defense hold the Mules to only three second-half points and 151 second-half yards.

In 2011, Mancini has appeared in all five games for the Crusaders, registering 20 tackles (16 solo). He leads the team with three sacks, is second with 3.5 tackles for a loss, has one quarterback hurry, one recovered fumble and one blocked kick.

Reese finished the week having played in 10 games (three matches) with six service aces and 78 digs for SU. In a 3-0 win over USMMA, she played in all three sets with three service aces and a match-high 26 digs.

Against Goucher (3-1 W), she played all four games, had three assists, three service aces and a match-high 33 digs. At Juniata (0-3 L), Reese played all three sets, registering two assists and 19 digs.

For the year, Reese has appeared in all 18 matches and played in 54 of 62 games. She leads the squad with 201 digs (3.72 dpg), has seven assists and is tied for the team lead with 21 service aces (0.39 per set).
