SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Former Susquehanna volleyball player Emily Carson ’13 (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) has been named to the roster of the USA Division III Volleyball All-Star Team. The team will begin its Brazil Tour 2013 in Orlando, Florida on June 10.

The tour runs from June 10-19 with the team departing for Sao Paulo, Brazil on June 11. Matches will be played from June 12-14 in San Paulo and from June 16-17 in Rio de Janeiro.

Carson is one of four outside hitters on the USA Roster and the only Landmark Conference athlete on the squad, which is coached by Jenna Panatier of the University of La Verne.

Carson capped off her senior season by being named an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, just weeks after picking up her second-straight First-Team All-Landmark Conference honor.

A four-time All-Conference selection, Carson recorded 1,484 kills, the third-best mark in program history, and her 4,378 attack attempts rank second all-time. She is also third all-time in block assists (266), total blocks (336) and points (1,786). Carson finished with 1,158 career digs and is only the second player in school history to record at least 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.
