The Crusaders defeated Gettysburg 3-1 by 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 25-18 scores, marking the first win over the Bullets (7-8) since 2008.
Jessica Holm (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) and

match. Sarah Paluck (Nesquehoning, Pa./Tamaqua
Area) had 14 digs and Maggie O’Hearn
(Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) racked up 34 assists, six

SU jumped out a 5-0 lead in the first set and led by as many as seven (19-12) before the Bullets closed to within one (23-22). The set ended with back-to-back kills from Holm and Bryne to hand Susquehanna the first-set win.
The second set was a back-and-forth battle with the action tied at nine following a Hayley Dunkel (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) kill. It was again a two-point game late in the set (22-20) before Bryne closed out the win with a kill.
Gettysburg went on to take the third set to force a fourth where the Crusaders never once trailed. They were up by five (17-12) more than midway through the action and Dunkel came up with the match-clinching kill for a 25-18 fourth-set win.
