Volleyball Picks Up 3-0 Win over Penn State Berks

READING, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's volleyball team picked up its sixth win in seven matches with a 3-0 sweep of Penn State Berks on Wednesday night in Reading.

SU (18-4) defeated the Nittany Lions (6-6) 25-13, 25-20, 25-13 and finished with a team attack percentage of .287.

Jessica Holm (Montvale, N.J./Pascack Hills) and Erin Byrne (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch) both recorded double-digit kills with 11 and 10, respectively. Byrne also had eight digs. Maggie O'Hearn (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) led all players with 34 assists and also chipped in 10 digs and a match-high four service aces. Sarah Paluck (Nesquehoning, Pa./Tamaqua Area) led the team with 19 digs while Alyssa Chiodo (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) had 10.

The Crusaders host the first Landmark Conference Round Robin weekend of the season on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 5-6.
