Crusader Volleyball Ranked Sixth in Region

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Susquehanna women's volleyball team is currently ranked sixth in the NCAA's Mid-Atlantic Region. The NCAA Division III regional polls were released Thursday evening and are the first regional rankings of the season.

Eleventh-ranked Juniata – a fellow Landmark Conference member– tops the region with its 22-2 record. The Eagles are followed by No. 16 Eastern (24-4), No. 20 Stevenson (29-1), Salisbury (21-4) and Franklin & Marshall (19-4). SU has faced every one of those teams with the exception of Salisbury and took Franklin & Marshall to four sets.

The Crusaders are 23-8 on the season, won 12 of its first 13 matches and are a perfect 10-0 at home. They have clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference Tournament after going 4-1 in conference play. Juniata, the No. 1 seed in the tournament, and Susquehanna are the only Landmark Conference teams to earn a spot in the regional polls.
