Catching Up With...Kady Faller

Name: Kady Faller
Sport: Volleyball
Class: Sophomore
Major: Accounting
Birthday: August 17, 1993

Why did you choose your major?
Solving math problems is something that I love to do. I find it entertaining to solve an in-depth problem and getting the right answer. Since accounting deals a lot with mathematical problems, I knew I would love to do that as a profession.

What has been your favorite class so far?

Business Statistics with Wilkerson

What are your plans after graduation?

I am hoping to have a job already lined up at an accounting firm.

What is your favorite athletic memory as a Crusader thus far into your career?

This would have to be the game against Stevens Tech when we were losing by a substantial amount of points and Stevens Tech had only five points to win the game, but we came back and beat them. But my all time favorite memory will be when we beat Juniata in the Championship that occurs next week.

What are your goals, both individually and as a team, for this season?

Individually my goals are to be the best player and teammate I can possibly be for my team by giving it my all every practice and game. My goals as a team are to constantly grow and become stronger so we become unstoppable.

What is your go-to song to get pumped up for competition?

There are too many to name.

What is your nickname on your team?
I sometimes am called by my last name, however everyone thinks it is funny to pronounce my last name wrong, so that’s how they say it.

The most embarrassing thing that’s happened to me on the court is….

I always have something embarrassing going on when I am on the court. I am either always tripping over my own feet or I am constantly burping during a game.

The best part about road trips with my team is…

How weird we are. Every time we are traveling you can guarantee we will be laughing our heads off at one another. I love my team and I would not trade them for anyone or anything.

What advice do you have for a prospective SU student-athlete?

Never give up. Schoolwork and playing a sport can sometimes feel like it is unmanageable, but it can be done. You just have to have really good time management skills.

My favorite midnight snack is…

Doritos or milk and Oreos.

If you could meet anyone, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

I would want to meet Scotty McCreery because he is adorable.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I would want to go to Ireland. I have always wanted to see where part of my heritage came from.

Do you have any unique talents/hobbies?

Not any that I recall.

What was your biggest high school achievement?

Being the first woman volleyball player at Exeter High School to obtain 1,000 kills as well as getting the award of Most Outstanding Female Athlete in my senior class.

Something people may not know about me is…

I had plastic surgery on my nose when I was five because I got bit by a dog.
