SU’s Byrne Named Landmark Volleyball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna volleyball player Erin Byrne (San Diego, Calif. / Scripps Ranch) has been named the Landmark Conference Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 27.

Byrne started all three of SU's matches last week as the team went 2-1 in conference play. She totaled 42 kills (4.20 kps) with at least nine kills in each match. The junior also tallied 12 assists, 18 digs and four block assists. Against Elizabethtown, she had a double-double with 20 kills and 10 digs. In each match Byrne has had one service ace and finished with a .360 attack percentage.

This season, Byrne has appeared in 12 matches and has 143 kills (3.58 kps), 31 assists, 11 service aces, 90 digs (2.25 dps) and 20 total blocks (2 solo).

Overall, SU is 12-6 with a 2-1 mark in conference play.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3, when they host a Landmark Conference play date.
