SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna football player Kyle Neuschatz and volleyball player Morgan Whiteman have been named Susquehanna's SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders for the week ending October 25.
Neuschatz totaled 157 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 19 carries with a long of 48, in SU's 48-21 win over Ursinus. He averaged 8.3 yards per carry (ypc) in the victory.
This season, Neuschatz leads the team with 294 yards rushing with two touchdowns and an average of 5.2 ypc. He is averaging 72.8 yards per game on 56 carries.
SU is 3-4 overall with a 2-4 mark in Centennial Conference play. The team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 31 when the Crusaders travel to Franklin and Marshall for a 1:00 p.m. game.
Whiteman played in all four matches this week as SU went 3-1. She had double-digit kills in two of the matches with a week-high 16 kills in the win over Swarthmore. She totaled 14 kills against PSU Altoona while finishing with a .247 attack percentage. The senior finished the week with three services aces, 19 digs and four total blocks.
This season, Whiteman has appeared in 21 matches and has totaled 211 kills (3.30 per set), 13 service aces, 148 digs (2.31 per set) and 22 total blocks.
The Crusaders are 22-9 overall with a 6-1 Landmark Record. They return to action on Friday, Oct. 30 at home when they host Cortland State. The match starts at 6:00 p.m.
