SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna football player Nick Crusco and volleyball player Morgan Whitman have been named Susquehanna's SAAC/Pepsi Super Crusaders for the week ending November 8.
Crusco threw for 365 yards and three touchdowns on 33 completion in SU's 44-15 defeat of McDaniel College. He also rushed for 71 yards on 10 carries and one touchdown. His 71 yards were second-most in the game.
This season, Crusco has started all nine games and has 2039 yards on 183 completions for 16 touchdowns. He is averaging 226.6 passing yards per game and 38.7 rushing yards per game. Crusco has also scored a team-best seven rushing touchdowns.
The Crusaders are 4-5 overall with a 3-5 mark in Centennial games and finished 4-1 at home.
Whiteman tallied a match high 22 kills and 26.0 points in Susquehanna's 3-2 loss to No. 2 Juniata in the Landmark Conference Championship Match Saturday. She also earned the only double-double in the match with her 22 kills and 12 digs. She only made five hitting errors on 55 attempts for a team-high attack percentage of .309 and contributed two block assists and three service aces.
Earlier in the week, Whiteman had match highs of 12 kills and .455 attack percentage in the Crusader's 3-0 win against Scranton in a Landmark Conference semifinal match.
This season, Whiteman has played in 26 matches and has totaled 272 kills (3.36 K/Set), 25 service aces, 187 digs and 27 total blocks.
SU is 26-10 overall and finished with a 6-1 mark in Landmark Conference action.
