LEXINGTON, Ken. – Susquehanna volleyball players Erin Byrne and Sarah Paluck have been named to All-Region Teams by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Byrne was a First-Team North Region selection while Paluck was a North Region Honorable Mention.
Byrne was also recently named a First-Team All-Landmark Conference selection. The junior finished the year with 348 kills, a 3.52 kills per set average and totaled 49 blocks, 274 digs and 43 service aces. She currently ranks first in the conference in both kills per set and points per set (4.1).
Byrne is a three-time First-Team All-Landmark Conference honoree and was named the conference's Rookie of the Year in 2013.
Meanwhile, Paluck was named the Landmark Conference Specialist of the Year in addition to being named to the First Team. The senior, who was also the 2013 Specialist of the Year and is now a three-time First-Team All-Conference player, broke the school and conference career digs records with 2,556. She ended the season with a conference-leading 653 digs and averaged 5.04 digs per set.
Susquehanna finished the year with a 26-10 record, including a 6-1 mark in Landmark action. SU advanced to the Landmark Conference Championship match, falling in five sets to then-No. 2 Juniata.
