Volleyball Falls at Nationally-Ranked Colorado College

THE STORYLINE: The Susquehanna women's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 3-0 to No. 9 Colorado College at the Colorado College Classic.

TEAM RECORDS: The River Hawks are now 2-1 overall after having won their first two matches of the tournament. The Tigers improve to 4-0.

ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM: Morgan Lowe and Tara Mahoney were named to the All-Tournament Team.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:  Morgan Lowe led SU with six kills while Maggie O'Hearn added five kills, 18 assists and six digs. Alyssa Chiodo had a team-high 13 digs.

FINAL TWO SETS: After falling 25-16 in the opening set, the River Hawks fell by just four and six points in the second and third sets, respectively. The second set was tied at 18 before Colorado scored seven of the final 10 points.  

FOR COLORADO COLLEGE: Keli Sherwood finished with nine kills. Rebecca Watson added 14 assists and Abbe Holtze tallied 11 digs.

UP NEXT: Susquehanna opens its home season on Wednesday, Sept. 7 with a 7 p.m. match against Johns Hopkins.
