Byrne, Lowe Earn All-Region Accolades

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna volleyball players Erin Byrne and Morgan Lowe have been named All-Region Players by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Byrne was named to the North Region First Team and Lowe was an Honorable Mention.

Byrne, a right side hitter, was also a First-Team All-Region player last fall. Earlier this month, Byrne named All-Landmark Conference First Team for the fourth time in her career. She leads the team in attack percentage (.331) and is second in kills (349) and blocks (66). Byrne has a 2.79 kills-per-set average, 68 assist and 61 digs this season.

Lowe, an outside hitter, leads the River Hawks in kills (402), kills per set (3.27) and total attempts (1164). She has a hitting percentage of .242, 38 service aces, 275 digs, 45 blocks and 19 assists. Like Byrne, she was a First-Team All-Landmark Conference selection.

The River Hawks are 31-7 on the season with the 31 victories marking a program record. Susquehanna earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and takes on Clarkson in the first round on Friday, November 11. SUNY Brockport will serve as the host institution for the first through third rounds.
