Morgan Lowe had 13 kills and Hannah Lyons added nine kills and a .562 hitting percentage to lead the Susquehanna University Volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Dickinson College Wednesday night as the River Hawks played their first game at home in O.W. Houts Gymnasium in Selinsgrove.
Susquehanna swept the match by set scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-17 as every player on the River Hawks roster made it into the game.
In addition to the attack of Lowe and Lyons, the River Hawks were led by Helen Forman with 21 assists and Lizzie Herestofa (nine digs), Kasey Bost (eight digs) and Forman (seven digs) led the defense. Lyons added three blocks.
The River Hawks return to action Friday with the start of the annual Hampton Inn Invitational. Brockport will play Carnegie Mellon in the opening match at 5 p.m. and then the River Hawks will face Stevenson in the 7 p.m. match. The tournament continues Saturday with four matches throughout the day in Selinsgrove.
