Hannah Lyons had nine kills, Helen Forman had 18 assists and Caroline Beohm added 13 digs to lead a balanced attack for the Susquehanna University Volleyball team in a 3-0 victory over Lycoming College in a non-conference match Wednesday night in Lamade Gym in Williamsport.
The River Hawks (8-8) won by set scores of 26-24, 25-13 and 25-8. After finishing the first set with 14 kills and a .150 attack percentage, Susquehanna settled in with 20 kills over the final two sets and a .280 percentage at the net to seal the victory.
Every player on the Susquehanna roster saw action in the match with 11 players recording at least a kill and 12 players finishing with at least one dig.
Lyons led the attack with nine kills and also added a team-leading six blocks. Kasey Bost added six digs and three aces.
The River Hawks open Landmark Conference play this weekend with a pair of conference matches at Scranton. Susquehanna will face Catholic at 11 a.m. and Goucher at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the first round of Landmark pool play.
