Senior Morgan Lowe led a trio of Susquehanna University Volleyball players as selections to the Landmark Conference All-Star team. Lowe, who earned First Team honors, was joined by sophomore Hannah Lyons and freshman Sydney Portale who picked up Second Team selections. The All-Conference team was announced Wednesday afternoon.
Lowe led the River Hawks with 428 kills and also recorded 294 digs. She ranked third in the conference with her kills total and was fourth in the Landmark standings with 3.63 kills per set as she helped Susquehanna to a 21-12 overall record and a 5-1 record in conference play which was tied for first in the final standings.
Lyons was second on the team with 339 kills and also contributed a team-leading 103 blocks on the season while Portale was third on the team with 263 kills in her first season. She was also third on the team with 58 blocks.
The River Hawks competed in the Landmark Conference Tournament and dropped a 3-2 decision to Scranton in the semifinal round of the tournament. The 21 wins marked the fifth consecutive season the team eclipsed the 20-win plateau.
