SU Competes at Bloomsburg Open
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's women's cross country team competed at the non-scoring Bloomsburg Open on Oct. 24.
Freshman Carol Giblin (Cazenovia, N.Y./Christian
Brothers Academy) was Susquehanna's top finisher, placing
sixth individually out of 36 runners with a time of 21 minutes,
18.84 seconds on the 5,000-meter course. Teammate and fellow
freshman Carly Bass (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive)
clocked in at 22:18.61 to finish 16th. Junior Katie Grap
(Palmyra, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) ran a time of 23:00.33 to
place 22nd, while freshman Rachel Mack (Philadelphia,
Pa./Saint Basil Academy) finished in 23rd with a time of
23:07.52. Freshman Kimberly McGrath (Kendall Park,
N.J./South Brunswick) crossed the line in a time of
23:30.24 to finish 25th overall.
Susquehanna was the lone NCAA Division III team competing.
Division I Bucknell University and Division II Bloomsburg
University were the others.
Next Meet: Saturday, Oct. 31, at Landmark Conference
championships (United States Soldiers' and Airmen's Home;
Washington, D.C.), 10 a.m.
