Cross Country Opens 2010 Season at Bucknell Open
LEWISBURG, Pa. – The 2010 fall season officially got underway for the Susquehanna men’s and women’s cross country teams on Saturday at the Bucknell Open. The event was a three-mile, non-scored event.
Susquehanna’s Alycia Woodruff (West Chester,
Pa./West Chester East) was the top non-Bucknell finisher
on both the men’s and women’s sides with a time of
18:13, good for ninth overall and just one minute behind the top
finisher (Stephanie Fulmer – 17:13).
Also finishing in the top 30 of the 70-person women’s
field for the Crusaders was junior Casey Hess (Bloomsburg,
Pa./Bloomsburg Area) who ran 19:13.
On the men’s side, juniors Joe Zamadics (West
Chester, Pal/West Chester East) and Ian Quinlan
(Eagle View, Pa./Methacton/Lehigh) were the top Crusaders,
taking 13th and 14th, respectively, with
times of 15:21 and 15:24. The top 15 runners were separated by less
than 30 seconds as Bucknell’s Chris Sacks placed first with a
time of 14:56.
Senior David Haklar (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern
Lehigh) also earned a top-20 finish with his time of
15:30.
