Women’s XC Takes Third at Conference Championships

QUICK HIT: The Susquehanna women's cross country team ran to a third-place finish at the 2016 Landmark Conference championship meet, hosted by Moravian College at Bicentennial Park.

TOP TEAM: Elizabethtown won its third-straight title with 28 points. The Blue Jays were followed by Moravian (43 points) and SU (69).

INDIVIDUAL WINNER: Moravian's Meg Brockett took home the individual title with her 6k time of 21:10.55, 41 seconds ahead of the runner-up who was also from Moravian.

TOP RIVER HAWK: Amy Kaschak placed eighth overall in the 85-runner field with her career-best time of 22:34.10.

REMAINING TOP SEVEN: Hannah Stauffer's time of 23:32.67 was good for 14th and just behind her was Megan Wright who took 15th with a time of 23:40.79. Freshman Erin Reese went 23:46.37 and was followed by Kailyn Reilly (23:49.39), Rachel Daley (24:03.22) and Seema Tailor (24:41.92).

OTHER FINISHERS: Emily Eck went 25:46.44 and with Keirnan Dougherty (26:07.15), Katherine Mayer (26:41.07) and Jillian Batten (28:14.11) behind her.

PERSONAL BESTS: Kaschak, Stauffer, Daley and Tailor all set personal bests on Saturday.

UP NEXT: Susquehanna travels to the NCAA Mideast Regionals, hosted by DeSales, on Nov. 12.
